Music Performance by Forever House
Forever House is performing at Summer’s Luscious Party! Jasper Richmus is excited to host this music event in conjunction with our group exhibit and on the occasion of this year’s Upstate Art Weekend! Free + open to the public.
Forever House is a raucous avant-grunge outfit comprised of Meaghan Burke, James Moore, James Ilgenfritz, and Pete Wise. Drawing from their experiences as performers in NY’s indie and experimental scenes, Forever House performs an explosive blend of twisted anthems, subversive ballads, sloppy math waltzes and wasted love themes.

Zine Making Open House
Join Jasper Richmus and writer, zine-maker, and visual artist Jacinta Bunnell for a drop in Zine Making Open House! Running concurrently with our exhibition, Summer’s Luscious Party and pop-up Zine Library this drop in open house will give participants the opportunity to design, create, and take-home copies of a small zine!
Zines are small publications that are often photocopied. They are D.I.Y. magazines about anything—lists, letters, true stories, fiction, how-tos, call-ins, gripes, etc.
Zines are an excellent vehicle for people of all ages to showcase their interests, art, and passions. During this open house, visitors will have an opportunity to design and create small zines to take home, allowing people to express themselves, discover their voices, and unleash creativity!

Pop-Up Zine Library
Jasper Richmus is hosting a Pop-up Zine Library and Zine Making Open Housein conjunction with our exhibition, Summer’s Luscious Party. Please complete the brief submission form and mail in a hard copy of your original zine. The event is free.
The Pop-Up Zine Library will be on display during Upstate Art Weekend between July 17th-21st, 11am-5pm. You can also schedule a visit by appointment between July 12th and 26th.

Are regionally based and reflect our community
Inspire readers to re-examine and learn from underserved voices
Cover the arts, music, comics, politics, gender issues and advocacy
Your zine can be any shape, size, or format. It can be hand drawn or handwritten, photocopied and stapled, or professionally printed.
Deadline for submissions is Friday, July 25th.
